He is survived by: his wife Sara Threatt Burgess of Andalusia; his children, Jenny Clayton (Tony), Johnny Burgess (Candace) and Matt Burgess (Christy); his grandchildren, Sawyer Clayton, Hunter Burgess, Carter Burgess, Gracie Burgess and Katherine Burgess; and his brother-in-law Ricky Veasey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
