He is survived by: his wife Phyllis W. Walters of Andalusia; his children, Russ Walters (Claire) of Andalusia and Abby Thomasson (Wes) of Andalusia; his grandchildren, Kylie, Porter Thomasson, Amelia and Jane Walters; his siblings, Mack Walters of Holtville, AL and Susan LeSage (Tommy) of Wetumpka, AL; and his mother-in-law Dorcus Williamson of Andalusia.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Foreman Funeral Home (1516 M. L. K. Jr Expy, Andalusia, AL 36420). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hopewell Baptist Church (1994, God brought Glen). A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery (1994, God brought Glen).
