It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Nell Bain of Altoona, Alabama, who passed away on November 11, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James R. Bain, Sr.; her daughter Mary Elizabeth Young; and her sister Joanne Rice. She is survived by: her son James Robert Bain, Jr. (Jimmye); her grandchildren, Evan Bain (Beth), Robert Young (Jenn) and Ann Carter (Kenneth); and her close friend Sharon Bryant. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
