He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila Hulsey; his parents, Doyle Hulsey and Eunice Hulsey; and his siblings, Jimmy Hulsey (Billy Hugh Hulsey) and Nancy Davis.

He is survived by: his children, Shannon Hulsey (Brooke) and Judy Dixon (Phillip); his grandchildren, Angela Fulmer, Bryan Dixon (Michaela), David, John, Andrew, Elizabeth and Lucy Hulsey; and his great grandchildren, Trevor, Dalton, Shayla Fulmer, Connor and Cameron Dixon.
