He was predeceased by: his parents, George Simmons and Etta Mae Simmons; and his wife Linda Kay Simmons. He is survived by: his daughters, Kecia and Paige; his grandchildren, Brady, Kalee Grace and Whitney; and his great grandchild Scarlett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trent Gibbs Memorial Fund via any Exchange Bank.
