It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sara Jacobs of Aliceville, Alabama, born in Gordo, Alabama, who passed away on June 25, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her former husband Luther Hardy, Jr.; her husband James Luvert Jacobs; her siblings, Ethel Lee (Lewis) of Virginia and Bruce Eugene Hickman (Sue); her son-in-law Stanley Harris (Billy Franklin); and her parents, Samuel Elars "Shorty" Hickman and Mary Ruth Edgeworth Hickman.

She is survived by: her children, Debbie Hester (Wayne) of Aliceville, Tammy Harris of Waggaman, LA, Shannon Schmidt (Chuck) of Ocean Springs, MS and Kenneth Dewayne "Boe" Hardy of Aliceville; her sister Dorothy Muriel Pearson (Bobby) of Carrollton; and her grandchildren, Tonya Hardy, Michelle Murphy, Christopher Hester, Sabrina Pfeaniger, Shane Rowell, Shawn Rowell, James Earl Harris, Bryan Allen Harris and Christie Harris. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
