He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Cecil Carroll and Gladys Lorraine Gilliam Carroll; his brother Daniel Neil Carroll; his parents-in-law, Leroy Gibson, Sr. and Nellie Mae Hudson Gibson; and his siblings-in-law, Phillip Randall Logan, Grady Gibson, Elbert Gibson, Benton McCracken, Betty Gibson and Judy Gibson Manning.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Gibson Carroll; his stepson Christopher Bishop (Amanda); his siblings, Kay C. Henderson (Charles Wade), Glenda J. Logan, Eva J. Patrick (Mike), Sharen Richardson (Jerry), Karen Black (Ricky), Carolyn Durden (Carl), Marilyn Park (Bill) and Cecil Ray Carroll (Linda); and his siblings-in-law, Virginia McCracken, Virgil Gibson (Janice), Leroy Gibson, Jr. and Clyde Gibson (Jan). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
