She was predeceased by: her husband William Donald McGarity, Sr.; her granddaughter Heather Nicole Belk; her siblings, Johnny Spencer, Ricky Spencer and Carolyn Pierce; and her parents, David Spencer and Ruth Wilson Spencer.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Belk (Terry), Marcia McGarity, Donnie McGarity (Tammy) and Dwight McGarity (Lisa); her brothers, Billy Joe Spencer (Bobbie) and Danny Spencer (Anita); and her brother-in-law Roy Pierce. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
