It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Ruth Kelly Blakney of Aliceville, Alabama, who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney C. Kelly, Sr. and Madeline Maughan Kelly; her siblings, Barney C. Kelly, Jr., Roy Kelly, Raymond Kelly and Carolyn Lay; and her daughter-in-law Jennifer Blakney.
She is survived by: her husband Coston Blakney; her sons, Doug Blakney (Sally) and Barney Blakney; her brother Dan Kelly; her grandchildren, Tylor (Breyanna), Elizabeth, Sarah and Hunter; and her great grandchildren, Gracie, Railyn, Mckinsley Jade and Ava.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Dogwood Chapel (200 5th St NE, Aliceville, AL 35442). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM and at 4:00 PM at the same location.
The family is accepting flowers and suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
