She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Welch; and her parents, Cliff Merrill and Bessie Perkins Merrill. She is survived by: her children, Dale Welch (Kathy) of Alexandria and Anne Auten (Houston) of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Amy Vaughn (Jason) and Melissa Canterberry (Anthony); her great grandchildren, Baylee Grayson, Reece Washburn, Jarrin Vaughn, Madison, Tanner and Reilly Canterberry; and her sisters, Mary Fordham, Lillian Wood of Huntsville and Myrtice Merrill of Heflin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hurricane Methodist Church in Cleburne County.
