It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Alton Dorries of Alexandria, Alabama, born in Baileyton, Alabama, who passed away on August 25, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Edward Dorries and Lessie Irene Dorries (Stapler); and his siblings, Virginia "Jenny" Dorries, Wayne Dorries, Jearldine "Jerry" Dorries and Willodean "Dean" Dorries.
He is survived by: his children, Joel Dorries (Elke), Melissa Baker (Michael), Phyllis Dorries, Janice Wyatt (Scott), Sandy Vincent (Erik) and Susan Huskey (Julian); his brother Ernest Edward Dorries; and also Supranee Kongkapan Dorries. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
