He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Cotney and Odelia Bence Cotney; his wife Katherleen Cotney; his daughter Sandra Kay Weldon; and his siblings, Lurie Nolen, Naomi Price, Dorothy Williams and Comer Cotney.
He is survived by: his son William Loyd Cotney (Belinda) of New Site; his grandchildren, Levi Cotney (Katelyn), Nina Cotney Grimm (Drew) and Trey Weldon; his great grandchild Lex Weldon; and his brother Noel Cotney (Katherine). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
