He is survived by: his wife Zona Penton of Alexander City; his sons, William E. "Billy" Penton Jr. (Megan) of Auburn and Joseph Penton (Ryan) of Alexander City; his sisters, Wanda Jo Farmer (Gregg) of Alexander City and Danita "Lynn" Woodruff (Larry) of Hackneyville; and his stepchildren, William Bush of Rockford, Jonathan Thornell of Birmingham, Zara Bush of New Site, Susan Lamberth and Anna Holley (Dusty). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, and one step great grandchild.
