He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clardy Hayes and Dorothy Sanders Hayes; his wife Linda Hayes; and his siblings, Leila Hayes and Jimmy Hayes.
He is survived by: his sons, Cody Hayes (Shauna) of Sylacauga, Michael Hayes of Anniston and Dustin Hayes of Anniston; and his sister Dottie Goodwin (W. L.) of Auburn.
