She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fred Strickland and Ora Strickland; her husband James Powell; her children, Brian Powell (Jennifer), Steve Powell (Kim), Tracey Brown (Jamison) of Cusseta, AL, Faithe Powell Steele (Harry) of Lagrange, GA and Cindy Smith; and her siblings, Jean Smith and Ronnie Strickland. She was also cherished by thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
