We are sad to announce that on November 20, 2022, at the age of 92, Sarah Hendrix of Alexander City, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Childers and Jewel O. Tate Childers; her husband Derrell Gene Hendrix; her siblings, Betty Jane Childers, George L. Childers and Charley F. Childers; her siblings-in-law, Curt Baker, Dwight D. Jarvis, W. Rudolph Hendrix, Geraldine Childers, Willie Mae Childers, Jane C. Childers and Mildred Stephens; her niece Glenda O'Daniel; and her nephew Frankie Childers.
She is survived by: her son David E. Hendrix (Angela); her grandson Brian D. Hendrix; her siblings, Mable C. Jarvis and Jimmy Childers (Eleanor); her siblings-in-law, Evelyn Hendrix and Raymond Hendrix (Laurel); her nieces and nephews, Kathy James (Bill), Edward Childers (Lona), Tommy Childers, Vicki Wilcox (John Paul), Beth Johns, Scotty Jones (Tammie), Rodney Jones (Laura), Ken Jones (Marilyn), Kesi Walker, Mark Hendrix (Rebecca), Robin Hendrix (Jean), Gary Hendrix (Linda), Glenn Hendrix, Gaylon Buivids (Jason), Ronald Brown (Charlene), Thedraiel Hughes and Pam Childers; and her caregivers, Cynthia Weaver, Teresa Hollenquest, Shelia Hutchins and Sadie Sandlin.
