She was predeceased by: her parents, Narcissa Goree McDowell Harris and William Peyton Harris, Sr.; her nephew Stanley David Godbold, Jr.; and her close friends, Major Renie R. King and Frances Blackmon.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, William Peyton "Billy" Harris III (Renate), Donald Wesley Godbold (Martha), Henry Franklin "Frank" Harris, Jr., Floyd McDowell Harris (Mary Jane), Nancy McDowell Godbold Mirkheshti (Akbar) and Julia Ann Harris Handly (Dudly); her friend Jimmie Travis; and her great-nephews, Derek Godbold, Park Harris, Rusty Harris, Sam Mosley, Hank Mosley, Daniel Harris, Zach Godbold, Josh Godbold, Wes Godbold and Bijan Mirkheshiti.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Chan's Plan (future animal shelter for Wilcox County) in care of Town-Country United Bank.
