He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Pearl Hendrix and Ivey Floyd Hendrix; and his siblings, Mildred Stevens, Coley Hendrix, Willard Rudolph Hendrix and Gene Hendrix.
He is survived by: his wife Laurel E. Hendrix; his children, Raymond Glenn Hendrix of Goodwater, AL, Gary L. Hendrix (Linda) of Alexander City, AL and Gaylon Hendrix Buivids (Jason) of Jacksons Gap, AL.; his great grandchildren, Alex Ray (Cheyenne), Cole Hendrix, Ethan Hendrix, Logan Hendrix, Dylan Hendrix, Raelynn Hendrix, Stella Pazsak, Bo Buivids, Holden Coggins and Sky Hendrix; and his great great grandchild Grady Ray.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010).
