She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Leon O'Neil and Mathel Peoples O'Neil; her daughter Leslie Huey; and her siblings, Eva Sebo, James "Knot" O'Neil and Jerry Eugene O'Neil.

She is survived by: her daughter Debra Sims; her granddaughter Anna Scruggs (Pete); her great grandchildren, Tylar Watts and Kyra Berry; her sister Lois Mitchell; and also Wanda Robinson.
