She was predeceased by: her parents, John William Sumlar and Lanie Gibson Sumlar; her husband Ernest Hoyt Garrett (Billy); her siblings, Roland Sumlar and Barbara Moore; and her grandson Joshua Strickland.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Garrett (Andrea) of Stockbridge, MI, Celina Strickland (Jason) of Alexander City and Keith Garrett of Alexander City; her grandchildren, Amber Stiles (Jay), Kelsey Hampton (Tyler), Brandon Powers (Jessica), Daylan Renfro and Victoria Renfro; her great grandchildren, Harleigh Stiles, Elizabeth Strickland, Grayson Stiles, Christopher Strickland, William Stiles, Rylee Hampton, Lilly Hampton, Katy Strickland, George Powers and Clara Powers; and her sister Jeanette Bonner.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Connect Church (428 Marshall St, Alexander City, AL 35011). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the funeral expenses.
