It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oscar Paul Thompson of Alexander City, Alabama, born in Clay, Alabama, who passed away on October 2, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Abb and Zula Thompson; and his siblings, Joel, Duel of Elmer, L. V., Winford, Malvin, Braxton, Verda Thompson McDaniel, Willie Merle Thompson, Jeanette Thompson Howard, Mary Thompson Vinson and Margaret Thompson Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Janett Kennedy Thompson; his children, Angela Culpepper (Jerry) and Jeff Thompson (Diane); his grandchildren, Dr. Zach Thompson (Jordan) and Dr. Olivia Henderson (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Alice, Wickham and Charlotte Thompson; and his brother Eric Thompson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be given to Orr Street Baptist Church.
