She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Norwood and Essie Stokes Norwood; her husband Levy Powell; her daughters, Frances Crumbley and Kathy Taylor; and her grandson Jeremy Powell.
She is survived by: her sons, Larry Powell (Brenda) of Alexander City and Jerry Powell (Bonnie) of Alexander City; her grandchildren, Robyn Powell, Barbara Sharpe, Jason Powell (Mandy), Kristie Smith (Chris), Angie Kittrell, Larrmy Warren and Amanda Taylor; her great grandchildren, Jodi Powell, Justin Sims, Colby Sawyer, Lindsey Johnston (Josh), Mallory Ayers, Amber Sharpe, Ethan Adcox, Landon Wilson, Allie Kittrell, Jackson Powell and Payton Powell; and her siblings, Doris Sampley of Bessemer and Benny Norwood of Alexander City. She is also survived by 7 great-great-grandchildren.
