He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence McCoy and Adele Emily Williams McCoy; his wife Debra McCoy; and his children, Tonya Hand and Lawrence McCoy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Alette McCoy, Pavela Williams (Richard) and Tammy Morgan (Israel); his great grandchildren, Broughton Vasquez and Tristan Vasquez; and his brother Van McCoy. He is also survived by numerous other great grandchildren.
