With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Linda H Starnes of Alexander City, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 73. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Hornsby and Jeanette M. Hornsby; her sister Faye Abrams; her brothers-in-law, Jimmy Abrams and Robbie Smith; and her nephew-in-law Michael Smith.
She is survived by: her sisters, Ann Hornsby Jones (Gerald), Mae (Sammy), Laro, Shirley Smith and Evie West (Don); her family, Candy and Bobby Smith of Alexander City, AL; her great-niece Hannah Paige Smith; her nieces and nephews, Billy (Angie Abrams), Charles (Angelica Foxx), Dawn (Tim Harris), Barry (Rachel Jones), Chris (Amanda Jones), Donna (Jimmy Watson), Audrea Smith, Jessica (Tracy Cook) and Donya Thomas; and her husband Hensley Dewitt Starnes. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010).
