She was predeceased by: her parents, Hal Leman Carter and Hattie Cotney Carter; her husband Elmer Cornelius Alford; her great grandchild Carrigan Ponder; and her sisters, Laverne Thomas and Bernie Mathis.
She is survived by: her children, Philip E. Alford (Terrie) of Sylacauga, Jean C. Duncan (Billy) of Alexander City and Larry C. Alford (Carol) of Peachtree City, GA; her grandchildren, Courtney Blair, Adam Ponder (Sonya), Jenny Alford and Mark Alford; her great grandchildren, Levi Ponder, Hannah Ponder, Luke Ponder and Hudson Ponder; and her siblings, Modene Forehand and H. L. Carter (Patricia).
