He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Smith and Meverlyn Stewart Smith. He is survived by: his wife Betty Hunter Smith of Alexander City; his children, Brandon L. Smith and Megan N. Gaspar; his grandchildren, Alicia D. Reyes, Elijah D. Gaspar, Kandice M. Gaspar and Alex R. Smith; and his siblings, Sandra A. Henry (Wayne), Kathy Ramirez (Lupe), Teresa Hunter, Sandy Hunter, Tommy W. Smith (Amy) and Rocky Hunter. He is also survived by seven nephews; five nieces and fourteen great- nieces and nephews.
