He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Avery Gordon and Lillian Louise Griffin Gordon; and his brothers-in-law, John Powell and Bobby Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Merlene Powell Gordon of Alexander City; his sisters-in-law, Nell Powell of Ashland and Faye Powell Johnston of Alexander City; his niece Angela Hunnicutt (Brian) of Ashland; his great-niece Victoria Hunnicutt (Ben Whitley); and his great-nephew Richard Hunnicutt, III of Ashland.
