He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe B. Hawkins and Elizabeth Thornell Hawkins; his sister Rita Hawkins Kennedy; and his great grandchildren, Brandon Eric Weston and Brooks Anthony Steen.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Hawkins of Alexander City; his nephews, Chris Kennedy (Dilanda) of Eddy, TX and Matthew Kennedy of Alexander City; his brother-in-law Thomas Gilliland of Alexander City; his children, Angela Easterwood of Alexander City, Nancy Fuller of Darlington, SC, Susan Weston of Alexander City, Steve Fuller (Margarita) of Darlington, SC and Donald Fuller (Barbara) of Alexander City; and his cousin Charles Shaw (Lavern). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, with 2 on the way; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
