We are sad to announce that on February 16, 2022, at the age of 79, Joe Bob Pursell of Alexander City, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Walter Pursell and Irene Rich Pursell; and his aunt Pearl Ayers. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hanson Pursell of Alexander City; his children, Tammy Jo Coleman (Marty) of Opelika and James Timothy Pursell (Leigh) of Auburn; his granddaughters, Ashley Lauren Coleman and Emily Jo Brier; his nieces and nephews, John, Susie Ewing, Bill, Vicky Bass, Ricky and Sandra Ayers; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Chad, Khara Jones, Patrick and Gennie Childs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Lake Martin Humane Society, 2502 Sugar Creek Road, Alexander City, AL 35010 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
