She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Davis and Hope Davis; her husband Carlos B. McDaniel, Sr.; her daughter Faye Jones; and her siblings, Patricia Ann Lyden, Hazel Harrison, Tommy Davis, Melvin Davis, Herbie Davis and Flossie Miller.
She is survived by: her sister Brenda Davis-English; her children, Carlos B. McDaniel, Jr. and Peggy Newcomb (Pete); and her grandchildren, Steve Wingo (Stacey), Jason McDaniel (Kim), Marc McDaniel, Jessy Reynolds (Katelyn), Austin McDaniel (Brooklyn), Aiden McDaniel, Ben Casarez, Jr. (Catrina), Jessica Ocegueda (Martin), Shaun Casarez (Miriam), Josh Newcomb (Angelina), Phillip Newcomb, Tim Jones (Samantha) and Jeff Jones (Marcy).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Frederick-Dean Funeral Home & Crematory (1801 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Shady Grove Cemetery.
