He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Mitchell and Mozelle Stewart Mitchell; and his brothers, Ronnie Mitchell, Harold Mitchell and Buford Mitchell.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Southers of Shinbone, Hubert Mitchell Jr. of Clay County and Billy Frank Mitchell of Alexander City; and his siblings, Mavis Ann Freeman of New Site and Don Mitchell of Anniston. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
