She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Hodge and Lula Hodge; her former husband Ewert Murphy Bishop; her husband Doy Fred Shockley; her children, Richard Lee "Rickey" Shockley, Sr., Cathy Shockley Morgan and Fred Shockley; her grandson Richard Lee Shockley, Jr.; and her siblings, Gaynell Wood, Mary Lou Caldwell, Jimmie Fetner, Sara Thornton, Keith Hodge, George Hodge and Charlie Hodge.
She is survived by: her children, Chrystal Foreman (Ted) and Alvin Bishop (Becky); her children-in-law, Ricky Morgan, Mary Shockley and Candice Shockley; and her grandchildren, Ken Bishop (Avery), Becky Linn Bishop, Todd Foreman, Elizabeth Headley (Jason), Ricky Morgan II (Brandi), Josh Morgan (Emily), Julia Upton (John), Felecia Bowen (Chuck), Stephanie Grigsby (Daniel) and Greg Pike. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Five Points Belcher Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to New Elkahatchee Baptist Church, 3380 Elkahatchee Road, Alexander City, AL 35010.
