With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edna Earl Thornton (Alexander City, Alabama), born in Elmore, Alabama, who passed away on May 1, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Hammond Sorrell and Georgia Arlene Stewart Sorrell; her husband James Adrian Thornton; and her sister-in-law Maurene Sorrell. She is survived by: her daughter Debra Perry (Lamar) of Alexander City; her granddaughters, Adraine Gregg (Chris) and Chasity Harston (Josh); her great grandchildren, Danlee Claire Simpson, Kandalyn Gregg, Zoey Harston, Noah Harston, Annalise Gregg and Cayson James Gregg; her brother George Sorrell; and her pet BoBo. She is also survived by her daughter and a great maw maw to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be given to the Building Fund at Stone Ridge Baptist Church, 2324 6th St. Ext., Alexander City, AL 35010.
