He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Roosevelt Dykes and Sallie Mason Dykes; and his daughter Susette Dykes Bradford. He is survived by: his wife Linda Dykes of Alexander City; his children, Rhonda Dykes of Jacksons Gap, Dana Dykes of New York, NY and Rock Dykes of Alexander City; and his sisters, Luvenia Culberson of Alexander City and Laura Bell Oliver of Alexander City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Children's Harbor or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
