He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Joyce Bowen Taylor; and his niece Laura Love Gipson. He is survived by: his sons, John Barrett Taylor and Timothy Lee Taylor; and his siblings, Saron Taylor (Wynona), Johnny Taylor (Susan), Ann Love (Bill), Alicia Haggerty (John) and Jeanine Keel (Chris). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
