He is survived by: his wife Sherlita Diaz Stringer; his mother-in-law Estelita Diaz; his sisters, Judith Pellerin, Sally Elkins and Nancy Fiske; and his children, Brian and Katie. He is also survived by three granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.
