Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Aquilla Gilliland of Alexander City, Alabama, who passed away at the age of 96, on February 11, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Talmadge East and Grace Frelon Day East; her husband Tom Gilliland; and her siblings, Vivian Jackson, Fannie Bell Benton, Dallam Rose Gunn, Mildred Vickers, Gertie Jackson, Rayford, Vann, Quinton, Carlton, Floyd and Edward East.
She is survived by: her son Thomas T. Gilliland (Jennifer); her sister Lorez Durden; and her caregiver Pamela Stowes.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010). A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Hillview Memorial Park (1926 Hillabee St, Alexander City, AL 35010).
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Alexander City Meals on Wheels, 3316 Highway 280, Alexander City, AL, 35010.
