She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Talmadge East and Grace Frelon Day East; her husband Tom Gilliland; and her siblings, Vivian Jackson, Fannie Bell Benton, Dallam Rose Gunn, Mildred Vickers, Gertie Jackson, Rayford, Vann, Quinton, Carlton, Floyd and Edward East.
She is survived by: her son Thomas T. Gilliland (Jennifer); her sister Lorez Durden; and her caregiver Pamela Stowes.
