She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Herschel Smith and Lela May Stephenson; her stepfather Robert "Bob" Bailey; her siblings, Arlin, Gary, Veryl Smith, Joan Kelsey Waldrop Goodwin, Sandra Karen Smith and Ramona Thornton (Alton) of Eclectic, AL; her niece Donna Grizzle (Rex) of Lanet, AL; her nephew Jimmy Nickolson (Denise) of Kellyton, AL; her great-niece Beth Till (Taft); and her great-nephews, Tres Nickolson (Charlene), Neal Nickolson, Heath Evans and Corey Grizzle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wayside Baptist Church.
