It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Glendel Horton of Albertville, Alabama, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Horton and Mittie Horton; his son Eric Horton; and his sisters, Jeanene Cherry and Sarah Childress.

He is survived by: his wife Opal Dixon Horton; and his children, Allen Horton (Dawn), Jeff Horton (Lisa), Tim Roberts (Monica), Kim Smallwood (Scott) and Amanda Chastain (Kevin). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
