He was predeceased by: his parents, O. K. Ballew and Floy Ballew. He is survived by: his wife Vera Ballew; his children, Janice Brown, Jeff Ballew (Melody), Dale Ballew (Sandra) and Julia Ballew; his grandchildren, Grant Brown, Austin Brown (Brandi), Wesley Ballew (Janae), Julie Ballew, Dustin Ballew (Julie), Sawyer Ballew (Yami), Lee Ballew (Susan), Michael Ballew, Cameron Ballew (Samantha) and Chesley McCarty; and his sister Louise Hartline (Harold). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Snead Funeral Home (170 Richman Dr, Snead, AL 35952). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Chapel of the Snead Funeral Home (170 Richman Dr, Snead, AL 35952). A burial was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at the Gibbs Chapel Cemetery (Blountsville, AL 35031).
