She was predeceased by: her son Dennis Ray Brothers; her daughter-in-law Tamara Brothers; her parents, Joe Wheeler Thompson and Annie Bell Whitten Thompson; and her siblings, Margie Hurley, Betty Cuzzort, Sue Stanley, Bobby Thompson and Billy Thompson.
She is survived by: her husband Rev. Kenneth Ray Thomas; her son James David Brothers; her grandchildren, Lauren Cryer (Kevin), Steadman Brothers and Sarah Brothers; her great grandchildren, Dylan Chamblee (Teagan), Lea Marks (Jordan), Dakota Chamblee, Raylea-Grace Cryer and Lain Cryer; and her great great grandchildren, Tucker Chamblee and Baby Slaton Marks. She is also survived by step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and step great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the W. T Wilson Funeral Chapel (2226 Main St Shiloh, Rainsville, AL 35986). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
