With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Swords of Albertville, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 27, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Swords; his parents, Ben Swords and Allie Swords; his granddaughter Katherine Abney; and his brother Kenneth Swords.
He is survived by: his children, Robyn Abney and Mark Swords (Lesa); his grandchildren, Grey Swords, Leah Abney (Justin Looney) and Alec Abney (Anna Jenkins); his great grandchild Tatum Looney; and his sisters-in-law, Valerie Swords and Lynda Gayle Knight.
In lieu in flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church building fund or Shephard's Cove Hospice.
