He is survived by: his wife Kay Smothers; his son Randy Ferguson (Melissa); his grandchildren, Anna Beth Thomason (Randy), Drew Ferguson, Michael Smothers, Tyler Smothers and Patrick Smothers; his great grandchildren, William, Charles and Wesley Thomason; and his brother Billy Smothers.
His dedication to others extended to his support for Shepherd's Cove Hospice, and, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to this vital organization in his memory.
