He was predeceased by: his parents, Ichiro Benjamin and Rita Benjamin; and his adoptive mother Merlina Benjamin. He is survived by: his siblings, Ruth, Susa, Ben, Eddie, Nick, Nina, Tony, McKenzie, Polly, John, Tommy, Benster, Mary and Esther; and his children, Michaela, Jason, Jessey, Jerick, Jerisha, Valerina, Valerida, Valisha, Kaysha, John Jr. and Joseph. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
