He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Welton and Mary Lee LeCroy Mize. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer West Mize; his children, Jeff Mize (Tracy), Rachael Mandell (Eric), Jeremy Mize (Ashley) and Rebecca Turner-Garcia (Daniel); his grandchildren, Coby Mize (Yuri), Peyton Mize (Cody Cook), Mackenzie Mandell, Zac Mandell, Natalie Mandell, Noah Mize, Josiah Turner, Daniel Garcia, Jr., Faith Turner and Bentley Mize; his great grandchildren, Kash Mize and Rosie Mize; his grandchildren, Amber and Brandan Lloyd; his great grandchildren, Hudson and Hallie Lloyd; his sisters, Betty Bearden and Flo Steele; and his brother-in-law Frank West (Henry).
