She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy Donald Thompson, Sr.; her parents, Alfred Butler and Ruth Butler; and her son Randy Thompson. She is survived by: her children, Donny Thompson (Leslie), Laura Merritts (David) and Lisa Partridge (Andy); her grandchildren, Tyler, Hayley, Cameron, Dylan Thompson, Rachael Merritts and Jordan Myers (Toney); and her great grandchildren, T. J. and Nova Myers.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Patsy's honor to Children's Hospital of Alabama.
