He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Mae Loftis Swafford and William Durwood Swafford; his brother Alan Swafford; and his sister-in-law Julie Bradley. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn "Kathy" Swafford; his pet Abigail Grace Swafford; his children, Nathan Swafford (Fawn), Robyn "Brittany" Murphy (Brett) and Virginia "Ginny" Minor (Ashley); his grandchildren, Owen Murphy, Ryder Murphy, Anna Collins Bailey and Ashlyn Minor; his brother Jerry Swafford (Barbara); his brother-in-law Foster "Key" Bradley III; and his nieces and nephews, Denise Dowling (Tommy), Marianne Beard (Brent), Craig Swafford and Foster "Chip" Bradley IV (Mallory). He is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Helena Methodist Church (2035 Co Rd 58, Helena, AL 35080). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
