He was predeceased by: his father Burell E. Boyd. He is survived by: his mother Chieko "Doris" Boyd; his wife Mary Boyd; his children, Thomas Boyd, Kate Marchand (Benjamin) and Susan Boyd (Nathan Phipps); his grandson Amaury Marchand; and his brother Rick Boyd (Gail).
