She was predeceased by: her parents, Cooper Wingo and Betty Wingo (Nettie); and her husband Jerry Morgan Abernathy. She is survived by: her brother Gerald C. Wingo of Anniston, Alabama.; her children, Jonathon, Jerry and Jill Abernathy; her stepchildren, David, Tammy and Matthew Burton; her grandchildren, Valerie White, Annalee Abernathy, Darby Abernathy, Jon Will Abernathy, Wesley Abernathy, Shelby Abernathy, Anna Grace Abernathy, Jesse Thomas, Ansley Jenkins, Austin Jenkins, Faith Ryan, Natalie Burton and Sofia Burton; and her great grandchildren, Weston, Olivia, Brantley, Ryder and Sawyer.
