He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Davis and Marie Davis; his sister June Goodwin; his grandson James Davis Hicks; his nephews, Donnie Goodwin, Rodney Goodwin and Ron Goodwin; and his niece Teresa Thorton.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Davis; his daughter Sara Hicks (Steve); his stepdaughters, Donna Hicks (George) and Vanessa Rodriguez (Efrain); and his nephew Terry Goodwin. He is also survived by 6 grandkids; 4 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peoples Chapel Funeral Home (195 Brooklane Dr, Bessemer, AL 35023). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
